A dead adult female monk seal was found at Gazipaşa. Researchers identified her as the animal stranded alive at Alanya on 6 July.

The known monk seal Badem was seen at Ören Halk Plajı, swimming and resting among boats and beach furniture. This is a wild encounter after the animal had been absent from view for a long period, distinct from the previously recorded 2008–09 visits.
